About Us
Family-Owned. Registered and Bonded. Easy to Reach.
California Process Servers is a family-owned, registered and bonded process-serving firm handling time-sensitive legal documents for individuals, attorneys, paralegals and property managers throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties.
Who we are
California Process Servers is a family-owned, registered and bonded process-serving firm with 15 years of experience serving individuals, attorneys, paralegals, and property managers across Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego counties. When you call, you're talking to the people actually doing the work, not a subcontractor we've never met.
Our office is at 20350 Ventura Blvd #230 in Woodland Hills, minutes from the Van Nuys and Chatsworth courthouses. All intake is online via email or submission portal; if hard copies are required, call us to coordinate.
Bilingual servers are available (Spanish, Armenian, and Arabic-speaking) depending on coverage zone and current workload; language assignment is not guaranteed for every job. Dedicated contact and account handling is available for high-volume repeat law firm accounts, with net-terms/invoice billing offered to qualified firms.

A Real Person Answers the Phone
Clients consistently mention the same thing in reviews: someone always answers the phone, and you get real updates from the field. That's how the company is built to run.
Compliance Isn't Optional
Registered in compliance with California Business & Professions Code §22350 and §22353, and every server is registered and bonded. Proofs of service are prepared to hold up when they're filed with the court.
Persistence on Hard Serves
Evasive defendants, out-of-area respondents, and multi-state coordination: clients' own reviews describe us going back out after an initial attempt fails, and coordinating service outside our home counties through a trusted partner network when a case requires it.

Why a local process serving firm matters in Southern California
Service of process is the step that gives a California court authority over the person you are suing. If the papers are delivered by the wrong person, at the wrong address, or documented incorrectly, the case can stall for weeks or be thrown out entirely. That is why California distinguishes between anyone over 18 handing over an envelope and a registered process server whose proof of service the court can rely on. Our work begins long before an envelope changes hands: we read the documents, confirm the correct party name, check whether the address is residential, commercial or a registered agent, and plan attempts around when the person is realistically going to be there.
Local knowledge shortens timelines
Woodland Hills sits at the center of a region with enormously varied geography and security practices. A serve in Encino behind a manned gate is a different assignment from a serve in an Orange County office park, a Riverside County ranch property, or a downtown Los Angeles high rise with a doorman who has been told to turn people away. We have worked all of it. Knowing which buildings require a call ahead, which complexes let servers reach a door, and which courthouses take filings at which counter saves clients days that a server unfamiliar with the area would spend learning the same lessons on their dime.
Communication is part of the service
Most complaints people have about process servers are not about the serve itself, they are about silence. You hand over documents with a hearing date attached and then hear nothing. We do the opposite. You are notified after each attempt with the date, time, address and what the server observed, so you always know where your matter stands. If the address turns out to be stale or the party has moved, you hear about it right away and can decide whether to authorize skip tracing rather than paying for attempts at a house nobody lives in.
Who we work with
Our clients include self-represented individuals filing small claims or restraining orders, family law and civil litigation attorneys with filing deadlines, paralegals managing dozens of open matters, property managers and landlords handling unlawful detainer notices, and collection firms serving levies and garnishments. Each of those groups needs something slightly different: individuals need the process explained in plain language, firms need clear estimates for first-attempt timing and clean paperwork, and property managers need someone who understands how unforgiving eviction timelines are. We are set up to handle all three without treating any of them as an afterthought.
