Getting your documents to us
Our office sits on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, minutes from the Van Nuys and Chatsworth courthouses and central to the San Fernando Valley. That location is where the work is coordinated from, but you do not need to drive anywhere to hire us. All intake is online: email your documents as PDFs to service@californiaprocessservers.com or send them through our submission portal. Online intake keeps assignments moving and means a client in San Diego gets started as quickly as one in Tarzana. If your court or matter requires hard copies, call 818-857-4333 to coordinate.
What to include with your email
Include the documents themselves, the full legal name of the party to be served, the service address and any alternate address such as a workplace, the court and case number, any hearing date or response deadline, and a note about the best times to find the person. If you know the address is a gated community, a secured office building or a business served through a registered agent, tell us up front. Details like that determine whether the first attempt succeeds.
When to call instead of email
Call 818-857-4333 if you have a same-day or rush matter, if a hearing is close and you are unsure whether there is still time, or if you simply want the process explained before committing to anything. Rush orders get priority handling: orders received before 12pm on a business day are prioritized for a same-day first attempt, otherwise the first attempt is typically made within 1-2 days after the job is assigned to a server. Same-day attempts are not guaranteed. Timing depends on server availability. Routine assignments usually see a first attempt within three to four days after the job is assigned to a server. Restraining orders, evictions, and orders due within 8 days are always attempted as Rush.
Hours and after-hours attempts
The office is staffed Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm, with Saturdays by appointment. Field attempts are a different schedule entirely: servers work early mornings, evenings and weekends, because that is when people are actually home. If you reach voicemail during a busy stretch, leave your name and case type and you will get a call back the same business day.
